Snap Thursday - Walk, Don't Walk

Funny the things that catches your eye.  

A couple of months ago, I was invited to the inagural sailing of Allure of the Seas, which is one of the biggest cruise ship sailing right now anywhere in the world.

This ship is filled with nooks and crannies and interesting things in them, mostly art pieces - it became an everday thing to walk around this massive ship trying to find the next piece of intersting artwork.

Snap Thursday - Beach Art

The picture above was one of many that we took during our trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico back in June. There was a park at the end of the island, and it had various pieces donated from artist and countries around the world. Out of all of them, this one was my favorite.

It’s strong and powerful and I love how it stands there taking in the elements from the sea every day.

I can look at it over and over again, because doing so brings me a sense of relaxation and well being.

Snap Thursday - Lily

We moved to our house three years ago. That is how long I had this potted plant.  It was a gift from my good friends, who came down from NYC to help me decorate the house.  When they got me the plant, I figure it was green, and my main concern was not to kill it.

Because, green thumb I have not.  Any plant that survivies around me, its a weed - trust me on this.

When they gave me the “Green” plant (as Tom and I called it) we had not a clue of what type of plant it was, simply that it was some type of hedge plant, it was green, pointy and I had no hope for it.

I gave it 2 weeks - tops.
